Nah Pele is probably the most outstanding, but there Maradona recieves more acclaim because there is video footage of him.  Pele was incredible though.  I personally would make an argument for Franz Beckenbauer, who is easily the best defender ever, and is not recognized as possible the best ever because of his position, but as a defender and an attacker he was world class and should be in the argument for the best ever.

There has been alot of outstanding soccer players.. for example Ronaldihno *(spelling?)* was amazing but then soon as all the money hit him and he was living the rich life he slowed down...now he dosnt stand out as much... See alot of these players come from countries and familes without alot of money and soon as they start living THE LIFE they ....start get cocky... but i love Rooney and Ronaldo... but best player to walk the planet??.....
