Futbol: after the Euro 2008, I would have picked Cristiano Ronaldo but Lionel Messi (Argentina) has looked outstanding in Olympic play.  Messi would be my top pick.

Tennis: except for the last handful of weeks it would be Federer.  But Nadal has bested him twice and Federer has lost one other time.  We'll have to see how both fair in the olympics.
