I SAY AYRTON SENNA AND MICHAEL SCHUMACHER 2ND, BECAUSE OK SHUMMI HAS 7 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS, AND SENNA 3 CHAMPIONSHIPS IN 1994 WHEN HE WAS ON WILLIAMS TEAM. WILLIAMS WON THE DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP IN 1996 AND 1997 THOSE CHAMPIONSHIPS WON FOR SURE AND SENNA TOLD DI MONTEZEMOLO THAT HE WOULD LIKE TO END HIS CAREER WITH FERRARI SO FERRARI HIRED SHUMACHERI BECAUSE OF SENNAS DEATH. NOW SENNA WOULD HAVE 1988,1990,1991,1996,1997,2000,2001,2002 AND MORE UNTIL HE RETIRED, BUT THAT ONLY CHAMPIONSHIPS, ANY WAY, SENNA HAD MUCH BETTER SKILLS THAT SHUMACHER

  1. undoubtedly,it's ayrton senna tied with schumi!

  2. SENNA all the way baby, then Shumi, then Prost!!!

But the F1 driver with the awesumest personality ever is Kimi!!!

    LUV Him!!!

  3. ayrton senna. no other formula 1 driver before and after him would risk his life for a single lap. literally. i must say his untimely death was quite fitting, if not early. it's much worse to have ur performance lessen bit by bit every year.

  4. I'm the greatest F1 driver ever, but the world will never know because I never got the chance to prove myself. In my lifetime it's tough to pick between Senna and Schumacher. Senna did great things with several teams, while Schumacher spent the majority of his career at Ferarri. Personally, I'd pick Senna, but it's hard to argue with Schumi's statistics. Who knows what he'd accomplish if he didn't retire.

  5. Jim Clark by a nose from Fangio.  Clark had just as high a win percentage as Schumacher but a far less dominant car and he had real competition in the form of other greats such as Graham Hill and Jackie Stewart.  He also never compromised his integrity with the sort of games Schumacher had to play to get his wins.

Ayrton was certainly excellent but a step behind the all time greats of Clark and Fangio.

  6. This question is asked so manny times

Ayrton senna would have to be the best of all time.

he was not only a champion on the track but also when out in the padddoks.

He always had a natural talent with driving on the track.

When he was off the track he was shy but still managed all og the people around him.

Shumy was also great but people got bored with him winning every race he was in.

I think that shumy retired at the right time.

He like Senna still has supporters and always will.

I was only 2  when Senna died but through a school assignment became inregued with him and all of the thing he has done.

The Ayrton Senna Foundation in Brazil still helps young children.

I think that it is wrong to be asking 'who is the bedst driver of all time' becasue they all had their strong and weak points.

Leave people to think what they want to think and feel how they want to feel.

There were many who would have hated Senna and manny that hatted Shumy.

Ever one has their own opinion.

  7. Forget the number of WDC's.  Different era's, cars, and tracks.

Juan Fangio  (The highest winning percentage in all of F1)

    Jim Clark

    Jackie Stewart

    Mario Andretti

    Niki Lauda

    Ayrton Senna

    Alain Prost

    Michael Schumacher

  8. Takuma Sato who only had 1 podium and Narain Karthikeyan

who only had 1 year in Formula One Racing....

  9. NOT this question again,

There are many drivers who qualify to be the best driver and its more down to personal preference than statistics.

Senna was a fabulous natural talent and THE best qualifier ever, no matter that Schumacer had more poles, he had 5 more years and the best F1 cars to beat this.

Schumi was the best driver of his era, mainly to consistently the best car of the field from 2000- 2004, and apart from Hakkinen no driver could consistently challenge him.

    Though other people will say,

    Fangio or

    Clark or

    Stewart or

    Lauda or

    Piquet senior

    or

Prost, they are all worthy candidates of the best driver and I think whoever you choose is the right decision as they were all the best at one time.

  10. no doubt it's MICHAEL SCHUMACHER!!!

  11. Jean Girard

  12. Schumi - he had a passion to win that noone matches even today. He drove on the edge of rules and accepted norms and took F1 beyond what it was in 1994. He also took a fledgling team (anyone remember Ferrari with Berger and Alesi?) and made it the most dominant F1 team ever.

  13. Hakkinen or Senna.

Schumacher was spoonfed championships by his team.

  14. its ALONSO
