Not the form fullback, who do you think is the best fullback going around in the nrl?(they don't have to be playing fullback for club right now, i.e. you could say Lockyer, but they must have played fullback for a decent period, but must be how they would go at it now, i.e. not Lockyer at 22-23) Assuming they are all at full flight.

My 5 would be in no particular order:

Karmichael Hunt(big and moblie, good playmaker and good runner, can also read kicks easily)

Greg Inglis(Was a freak when he was playing fullback when he was fresh on the scene, I wish he still had the freedom to roam around)

Justin Hodges(instrumental in the 2006 campaign for the broncos, some brillant trys and would rack up 200m week-in, week-out, again just needs more space)

Kurt Gidley(Big and great with the ball, can play everywhere except prop)

Matt Bowen(He goes and goes and goes, racks up metre's before you even notice. Good ball player and decieveingly strong despite his size)

  1. the under-rated luke patten. He was one fire.

  2. At the end of the day - I like Brett Hodgson. For skill - no. Just for the fact that week in, week out I have watched him get smashed, yet he still puts everything into it. Plus he is pretty good.

  3. Anthony Minichiello

    Brett Stewart

    Billy Slater

    Kurt Gidley

    Matt Bowen

  4. billy slater is the most awesome fullback ever

Go The Mighty Melbourne Storm!!!!!!!!! and go billy the kid

  5. BRETT STEWART AND BILLY SLATER

  6. hunt, inglis, stewart, slater, bowen, gidley. lockyer was the best he would still do the job.

  7. Brett Stewart.

Defends well.  Reads the play from position.  Has speed to burn (alot of them do)  Can sniff out and score a try.

Slater's good, but his defence isn't as good as Stewart's

  8. i would go with:

Slater (just lifts the crowd when he gets the ball)

Gidley (he can play pretty much anywhere. fullback, five-eighth, halfback, hooker hes just an amazing player to watch)

Inglis (hes just a freak.. any club would love to have him at fullback/five-eighth/winger/centre.)

Minichello (as ppl have said if he wasnt injured he would be the nsw fullback and a definate contender for the Aus. fullback)

Hodges (he just creates something out of nothing.. doesn't matter if hes at fullback, winger, centre or even 2nd row forward, he will still dominate)

  9. oh kurt gidley easy.. theres no better than that man lol hope i made it to see him in the next 100 year team.. ill be 117! cant waittt

  10. International Quality Fullbacks would have to be (No particular order)

    Matt Bowen

    Karmichael Hunt

    Billy Slater

Anthony Minichello (If he wasn't always injured)

    Brett Stewart

    Kurt Gidley

    Darren Lockyer

    Greg Inglis

    Justin Hodges

    Jayyrd Hayne

and then there are guys like

    Brett Kearney

    Brett Hodgson

    Steve Turner

    Preston Campbell

    Darius Boyd

    Ashley Graham

who are good but not really rep standed fullbacks.

  11. if minichiello wasnt injured for 2 years and currently i think he would still be the best fullback. but right now prolly slater

  12. minichiello..... he's probably the best fullback i have seen in my life time!

Brett hodgson.... he's the toughest little bloke playing in the nrl, he gets smashed then bounces straight back to his feet! and i have no doubt he will be missed next season when he heads to England

  13. Top 5 in no particluar order

    1. Kurt Gidley (great in defence and chimes in with effortless brilliance in attack at dummy half, first or second receiver)

    2. Luke Patten (Mr Consistency - enough said, is always in top 3 for bulldogs every game and top 5 for every game he plays in)

    3. Brett Stewart (anyone with a try scoring record like him deserves to be in top 5, not to shabby in defence either)

    4. Billy Slater (Most improved player in the game from last 5 years, continue's to grow as a player)

    5. Darren Lockyer (safe as a brick house and chimed in in attack when needed like Kurt Gidley does)

Other players from past and present to good not to mention - Matthew Bowen, Karmichael Hunt, Gary Jack, Gary Belcher, Tim Brasher

  14. Lockyer of 1998-2003

  15. Probably Justin Griffith or Jeremi Johnson... Watch REAL sports nerd!!!
