  7. AL Hitters:

    Josh Hamilton vs. David Ortiz

    - Hamilton has put on a show this year, but Ortiz is a consistent stud year in and year out. His RBI totals are amazing, yet he still somehow flies under the radar a little. Although Hamilton's numbers are crazy this year, Big Papi wins this battle.

    ARod vs. Ichiro:

    - Ichiro has put up some monster stats, contact wise, ever since his first year in the league, but then again, so has Rodriguez. I personally love Ichiro and his ability, but Alex's abilities outweigh Ichiro's contact numbers any day.

    NL Hitters:

    Chipper Jones vs. David Wright:

    - Wow, this is tough for me. I can't get enough of David, but Chipper is just so consistent, even at his age. I will have to say that I like Wright better, but I give this particular award to Chipper. Tough one though.

    Albert Pujols vs. Ryan Braun:

    - I'm a fan of Braun, but come on. This is a no-brainer, Phat Albert takes it home with absolute consistency throughout his whole career.

    AL:

    David Ortiz vs. Alex Rodriguez

    - Ortiz is a monster and can blast the ball like few have, but Rodriguez is just too good. Not to mention, he could definitely go on to break Bonds new career home run record (and I'm personally rooting for that). ARod takes this battle with ease.

    NL:

    Chipper Jones vs. Albert Pujols

    - Chipper's numbers throughout his career are really astonishing, but Pujols has put up unbelievable stats in his own right. Albert has a .333 career average, compared to Chippers .310. Albert has played half the amount of time Chipper has, meaning that if he stays on pace, Pujols would have 612 homers, 1871 RBI's, and 2950 hits by the time he is Jones's age. Chipper currently has 405 homers, 1357 RBI's, and 2238 hits. Now don't get me wrong, Chipper is a phenomenal hitter, but I will let the numbers speak for themselves, Albert wins.

    Championship:

    Alex Rodriguez vs. Albert Pujols:

    - These are the two best hitters in the league in my opinion. Both are amazing in their own right, but I do believe one is better. I have estimated (if they keep the same pace), what their career stats, 18 full years, would be at the end. Here is what I have come up with:

                     Arod                            Pujols

    Average:    .307        .333

    Homers:     749         689

    RBI's:        2168       2106

    Hits:          3255      3318

Now I know stats aren't everything, but they prove points at least. Although, after looking at this, the decision gets even harder. Obviously Arod has power, while Pujols has the better contact abilities. In fact, Pujols has the best average over the past 8 years than anyone in the league, hard to believe, but quite true. The other big factor to this is clutch hitting.

    RISP w/ 2 outs: Pujols- .327 ARod- .271

Postseason average: Pujols- .323 ARod- .279

Now this seperates them a little. As you can see, the clutch numbers go to Pujols clearly. So overall, Arod has unbelievable power that really no one else rivals, while Pujols has the contact and clutch that overcome Rodriguez. In total, I believe that Albert Pujols is the better hitter, and the best hitter in baseball due to his consistency, clutch hitting, contact abilities, and consistent power numbers. He has it all folks!

  8. Pujols to win it all.

  9. Hamilton, Arod, Jones, Braun

  10. AL Hitters

Josh Hamilton vs David Ortiz= Josh Hamilton

    Arod vs Ichrio= Ichrio

    NL Hitters

Chipper Jones vs David Wright= David Wright

Albert Pujols vs Ryan Braun= Albert Pujols

  11. AL: David Ortiz: Proven clutch hitter. Hamilton is great but I haven't seen him in the post season.

AL: A-Rod: Guy can do everything.

NL: Chip: Proven hitter and one of the best hitters of all time.

NL: Pujols: Again a proven hitter who has shown he can lead a team. This guy can bat almost 350 with around 45 homers when healthy.

  12. Josh Hamlton vs David Ortiz-Ortiz

    Arod vs Ichiro-A-rod

    NL Hitters

    Chipper Jones vs David Wright-Jones

    Albert Pujols vs Ryan Braun-Pujols
