Who is the best jockey in USA thoroughbred racing today?

There are so many of them! Recently Robby Albarado and Calvin Borel have been getting the spotlight for the rides in the Kentucky Derby and Preakness. Johnny Velasquez on Rags to Riches was an eyepopper too. There are so many up and coming jockeys such as Channing Hill, Joe Talamo, and Brian Hernandez Jr. My favorite would have to be Robby Albarado!

in my opinion i go to arlington park racecourse in illnois alot and robby albarado stands above all others with gomez very close behind

There are several that are excellent.  The best, in my opinion, is Garrett Gomez.  He's the leading money earner in the states and he wins at about a 25% clip racing in the most prestigiuos and competitive races the US has to offer.

Garrett Gomez.  1st in earnings, 1st in stakes wins, 7th in overall wins.

Even though he gets a lot from Todd Pletcher mounts, he is Pletcher's 2nd choice (Johnny V is #1).
