I would have to say, John Fitzgerald Kennedy. He exuded a personality gave Americans an ability to trust their leaders and be hopeful about their future. He was a worthy opponent for Communism and led us through the Cuban Missile Crisis, thus preventing WW3. He was a supporter of civil rights and set an example that every leader should aspire to emulate.
