In the modern era it is between Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon and Mark Martin.  Mark is the one that gets overshadowed a lot but his percentage of finishing in the top 10 is phenominal, over 78% in 37 road course starts.  He also has 4 wins on them.  The combination of patience and driving ability are what make him so good at the road courses.  Tony has finished in the top 10 70% of the time, along with his 6 wins, and Jeff has 9 wins and over 62% of his finishes in the top 10 at road courses.  Ricky Rudd was great at them and Rusty was decent as well.  The newer drivers that look like they are going to be among the best ever are Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin.  If you are looking at the best of all time Bobby Allison is up there and has to be considered and the original road course ringer, Dan Gurney was unbelievably great at Riverside International Raceway.  Dan won 5 of the 9 races he started there.
