  1. darren lockyer the captain of the brisbane broncos

  2. Lockyer and Johns are the obvious choices, with Lockyer probably getting the edge thanks to him being relatively injury free in comparison to Johns' injury problems.

Johns' defence is probably a bit better than Lockyer, but Lockyer's skill and experience in a few positions even it out (Lockyer is considered the best in the game in both 5/8 and Fullback and could easily slip into halfback, while Johns has only played a little bit of Hooker on the rep stage, but is hardly considered a great No.9).

Johns is considered one of the games leading kickers, in both general play and for place kicks. Lockyer on the other hand is a reluctant (but very competant) place kicker and likes to share the in-play kicking between himself and others in the team. Still, I'd say it's Lockyer by a nose.

However, anyone outside of the halves is rarely, if ever, considered the best player in the game. But how can you argue between Johns or Lockyer vs. Webcke for example.

  3. Darren Lockyer..Captain of the Brisbane Broncos AND Captain of Australia

  4. at the moment D. Lockyer.  but i think u have to choose players in their positions. cause each player has their own roll to play. one player cant take on 13.

  5. Andrew Johns is the best, still at age 32.

Lockyer has caught up late in the season, but on a week to week basis in the NRL Johns can still carry what everyone considers and 'average' team to top 4.

If it wasnt for injuries Johns could have had a few more premierships, been captain of Australia aswell.

But 2007 should be interesting to see whether he's still good enough, but atm I think Johns is STILL best.

  6. Judd is a dud if you want to compare players in the NRL to his poor standards in the AFL then all the Storm players

  7. No I honestly dont think there is really one that stands out from the rest as if I had to I would name a few.

  8. There is a clear stand out in all league, AFL- Adam Goodes(might have lost the Grand Final but won the Bronlow), NRL - Cameron Smith(Minor Premiers & Australian Tri-Nations selection), Ben Tune (John Eales medal) need I say more.......... I don't think so...

  9. Lockyer without doubt!
