A-Rod, and no I am neither a Yankee fan or A-Rod fan, but he is the only active player to lead all triple crown categories at least once in a year.  (Obviously not all in the same year; 1996 batting title winner; 01, 02, 03, 05, 07 HR leader; 02, 07 RBI leader.)  He is a gold glove defender (twice) and a good base stealer and runner.   He is also one of 4 members of the 40-40 club.  Even though he has a certain air of douchbaggery about him, he is still the best player on the planet.
