NFL- If you go by stats its brett favre. (then again hes been playing for the longest time). But i think the best player right now is David Garrard. He was a first time starter, and threw for 17 touchdowns and only 3 interceptions. And considering the lack of talent in his recievers, thats very hard to do. Plus he can run the ball, so hes not one demensional like most other qb's.

College- I know hes not in college anymore, but I think it was Glenn Dorsey, he played at such a higher level then his teamates. He was like the reggie white of football.

I watched Marion Barber consistently gain yardage even when met at the line of scrimmage.  At the end of the last season I saw him avoid 9 (I said NINE) tacklers on a single play and advance the ball. Outstanding athlete.
