here u go bill a real answer for you... Yashin... shotty attitude but has the talent... everyone else mentioned is unproven if they can play at the NHL level, how can you consider them the best not in the NHL. Yashin would be in the NHLif he changed his priorties and would be a team mate... Emery will be following that example this off season

What about Fabian Brunnstrom?  After all that hype about his signing. He's not technically "in" the NHL until next season.  I'm not saying I think he is the best but some people probably do.

Definitely Stamkos.  He was allowed to play in the OHL at 15, which is underage, but they allowed it because he is so talented.

probably some guy over in the Russian SuperLeague.  I doubt Yashin is the best player over there, but right now hes better than both tavares or stamkos because of age/experience.
