  1. no doubt -- pacman

  2. pacman, as of pound 4 pound, but aint the best overall boxer

  3. EVERYONE says sugar ray...ali...marciano etc etc! but thats looking at purely results etc.....ali - politician, representative of blacks and muslims and great boxer! thats why lots of ppl say him. Ray robinson - has like 179 fights to his name.....marciano - undefeated heavyweight...

    my views

marciano - weighed 185lbs....modern days he wouldmnt be a heavyweight

Ali - if all that spoke was what he did in the ring would he be so high on this list....maybe not AS high imo..dues, he always found a way to win, intelligence.

Ray robinson - Have you seen this guy fight....lol hes all over the place missing punches, arms dangling down hopelessly, hed get battered in modern days, have to blame lack of good boxing equipment and fighters in the old days for that maybe...

In the older days top boxers didnt train as hard (a lot are out of shape), not as much knowledge about the body and how could they train as good with **** equipment...they were more scraps in them days with who was the "hardest".

All in all I say ROY JONES JR

not many "little guys" can go from middleweight to Heavyweight and win it all. He was a quicker, stronger and more 'intelligent' Boxer than most boxers on these lists, ppl couldnt touch him.

It also wasnt just 1 or 2 historic fights or some political movement that put him on this list.

I cant think of what boxing style could beat him in his prime he had everything and could adjust his style and tactics piece of p**s.

seriously ... what type of fighter could beat him, the only thing i can think of is someone with the same style and flair as him which knowone had the bottle to try.

  4. pacman- ring magazine

  5. sugar ray robinson 179 wins,19 losses,6 draws and 2 no contests.....109 ko.....

  6. I think Ali I think anybody would of paid to see him entertain instead of Sugar Ray Robinson.

  7. if you mean the best in the world today, it's manny pacquiao.

on the other hand, if you mean the best p4p ever, then the answer is sugar ray robinson....going to 40-0, before losing his first fight (against a fully fledged middleweight when he was still only a 147 pounder) , then to 128-1-2 before losing his second bout (at light heavyweight).

he won titles in two divisions (almost 3 when he succumbed to the searing june heat in new york).....he didn't bother with junior divisions, and there were no 168 pound title either.

he could box, punch, counterpunch on the retreat, attack, slip.......there was nothing he couldn't do in the ring.
