  1. is between Calzhage, pacman and Kelly Pavlick

  2. Manny pacman pacquiao... mexican destroyer! he will soon beat de la hoya!!!

  3. At first I'd say Paquiao cause he looked EXCELLENT last Saturday and has prooven himself time and time again. Not to mention that he's done so (prooven himself against tip top opposition)! ...

But if Chavez was here today Paquiao would all of the sudden become just another one of the bunch of phillipino's who never made it. Inother words Chavez would cause Paquiao to loose, and he already did versus Marquez.

But all in all,... I think the best one is Paquiao by Merit, not by opinion cause I know all too well Marquez can/will beat him.

In they're first fight Paquiao landed a miracles 3 knock-downs in the first round AND STILL!! Managed to only get a draw! In they're second fight, I still think Marquez won, even though I don't think it was robbed cause it was so close. BUT I still think Marquez won.

  4. Wow.  I can't believe there wasn't one Mayweather Jr.  answer in 8 attempts.  I'll give you paqiou is making a case for himself but come on.  Just cause you don't like the guy's personality (I don't either) doesn't mean he's not still the best pound for pound.  There are too many points to make to even begin here, but I think we all know whether we want to believe it or not that he is the best pound for pound fighter in the world.  And I'm willing to bet that we'll see it proven.  Mayweather is all about money and there will be money in a fight between him and paqiou (or however the h**l you spell it) soon, whatever weight class they want to do it at.  It will be an epic battle like we haven't seen since the frasier ali days.  But I think we all know who will win, even though it's the one none of us will be rooting for.

  5. Pacquiao. Hands down.

  6. today? it's pacquiao

    of all time? ray robinson.

  7. sugar ray robinson in all time history.

  8. I agree with Maurice.

Manny Pacquiao is the current best Pound for Pound in boxing, and I'll fully explain why.

    1) He has knocked out people in different weight divisions from flyweight all the way to lightweight (That's about a 30 lb range).

    2) I don't understand these haters.  Pacquiao defeated many skilled pros with a simple 1, 2 combination.  Pacquiao DID defeat prime Mexican fighters.

Barrera was still prime when he fought Pacquiao.  After a lost to Morales, he defeated good fighters: Salud, Hamed, Tapia, Kevin Kelley, LOST TO PACQUIAO.. then went on to defeat Ayala, and a "still prime" Erik Morales.  He also fought close in a hard fight against a young Juarez, and outclassed him in a second fight.  Then, fought a close fight against Marquez.

If Morales was still in his prime against Pacquiao the first time, it was Pacquiao who clearly got Morales to fade away.  Despite Manny fighting with a bloodiest face ever from an unintentional butt, he took some great shots, and the fight was pretty close.  Raheem was a joke and should have been DQ'd for his antics against Morales.  Morales was still strong and took great hits from Pac in the second fight, and rocked Pacquiao like no one else did recently.  He was then Knocked out, and then outclassed in the 3rd fight.

Barrera and Morales are Hall of famers.

As for prime Marquez who gave Pacquiao the most difficulty, he figured out a perfect strategy to take out Pacquiao, BUT, Pacquiao still fought back hard, and come on, THREE KNOCKDOWNS IN THE FIRST ROUND.

You have to remember that knockdowns do count in the world of boxing, and are bigger points than someone closely winning a round.

If the fight was close (which it was), the knockdowns should have been the deciding factor in the fight.  Due to one judge scoring the first round wrong, it was declared a draw.  Pacquiao was supposed to win that fight.

As for the second fight, every judge would have chosen Marquez, had it not been for the knockdown.  But, the knockdown does add up in points, leading Pacquiao to clearly be announced the winner, especially in a close fight.

    3) A third fight with Marquez would decide if he stays on the top.  If he loses, he drops down, if he wins clearly, he proves why he's on top.

To say these fighters were fading against Pacquaio is a lame excuse, and a shame to the great Mexican fighters of our generation.

Calzaghe comes in 2nd because he is undefeated and held his title for a record amount of bouts and years, however he has only fought a few worthy known champions.  Lacy was still being tested, however Joe exposed him big time.  Victories over Kessler and Hopkins were enough to boost him up the ranks to #2.

Pavlik comes in 3rd because he is an undefeated hard hitter, who clearly defeated Taylor in the two fights they had, and knocked out all kinds of fighters.  He has great knockouts and should even be ranked 2 on the list, if it wasn't for Calzaghe's better known record winning streak.

A fight between Pavlik and Calzaghe would be great, and would be the only way to currently decide whether or not any of them should bump up the list over Pacquiao.  But until then, the Champ, with titles in 4 different weight divisions, who is still at his prime, DESERVES the number 1 spot on the Pound 4 Pound list of boxing.

Sugar Ray Robinson on the other hand is the greatest fighter to ever fight in a boxing ring.  Greatest combination of heart, speed, power, and skill.  In fact, he is the reason people invented the Pound 4 Pound list... literally.

  9. Israel Vazquez is my selection.

I agree with Ivan G. Pacman has never "Killed" a real primed Mexican. Morales when still on top beat Pacman. He lost once washed up. Marquez beat him TWICE. Barerra was never anything special. Diaz pleeeeaaaasssseeee!!!!

I want to see Marquez vs. Pacman 3
