Who is the best returner of serve?

We all know Roddick and Karlovic are the biggest servers on the men's tour; on the flip side, who are the best returners of serve? It would be better if you can back it up with objective facts like break point conversions and stuff like that. I've heard subjectively that Ferrer is the best...

Federer is the best in the men's game.  Nadal, Davydenko and Hewitt are all excellent as well.  Andy Murray is also closing in on that group.

Jimmy Connors was as good as anyone ever, he caught the ball early and hit nearly perfect low returns, it destroyed many a serve-and-volleyers game

try to watch a few clips of their matches if you get time, you'll see what i mean. tennis.com wrote about it.. they also have picks in different categories like who has the best serve, volley, drop shot etc... although i personally don't agree with their collective "shortlists" and "today's best", because i think they've left out some good names,  most of the "all time greatest" that they picked i happen to agree with.. and in this category, the return of service, i happen to agree with the most..so there, hope this helps.

all the top players besides andy roddick. Also, Marat Safin is an amazing returner and also mr. agassi.

Historically the best ones were Connors and Agassi on the men's side and Seles on the women's side.  Their returns pretty much focused on attacking on the return rather then just getting the ball in.

Today I think Federer is the best returner followed by Hewitt and then Nadal.

The best returner to ever grace a tennis court was Andre Agassi. Today, it's probably James Blake.

It's federer...he is the best reader.Nadal is ok...he doesn't read as well but have you seen federer return of serves.Check them out on youtube! type'federer return'
