Who is the best rugby player to come out of the USA(or is the best in the USA)?

Many would say Z Ngwenya but I think there might be others...I know Mike Hercus played in Llanelli, France and he was also captain of the Eagles Squad this past world cup.

Well first off, Ngwenya  is not American he is a Zimbabwian, so that kinda rules him out ;)

there have been some very good Murcans plying their trade in the UK, I have named a few below.

Todd Clever- hard as nails player who tackled like a demon.

Mike Hercus Plays for my mates club in Belmont shore and played regional rugby in wales for the Llanelli Scarlets. To be hnest he never really cut it though :(

Tom Billups played for Quins and also pontypridd (where I often met him) great bloke, another hard bugger.

Luke Gross - very talented player and often underated.

Dan Lyle played top flight for Leicester and no slouch. probably my rnner up.



Kort Schubert Played pro rugby at Cardiff Bues joint runner up for me.

My winer is Paul Emerick Currently playing for newport gwent Dragons in Wales. a superb centre hard running great tackler my best american ever, closely followed by  Lyle.

No clue mate. I couldn't name one of the RWC team.

You just don't see them playing test matches except the RWC, which is a shame, because the RWC team handled themselves pretty well.

Need more international test matches.

z ngwenya has got outstanding talent. nobody  in the usa side would make a super 14 side except for z. so hes the best

I know its a few years ago now but I rated Dan Lyle pretty highly. He played for Bath over here and I think he captained the side for a while as well?? Very good No 8 player with great balance and handling skills. He'd get my vote but is not playing anymore

Mike Hercus is their best player and he grew up in Australia.

He gets to play for the yanks becuase he was born there

todd clever- he played flanker in RWC 2007 and also is a key player in 7's as well.  he's a powerhouse and he's pretty d**n hot too! even with the long hair!
