C. Ronaldo is the player of the year. As far as skills go, he does deserve it, but he is too cocky!! Messi is a close Second, (but not for long). Kaka is still strong and this season should be better, as for Ronaldinho, I think we haven't seen all of his tricks yet! Im really if Geovani Dos Santos is going to come up this season or not.

Oh yeah, and Beckham is over rated. His days of glory are long and gone!

I don't think David Beckham is. Christiano Ronaldo is the fastest I believe. Essien is pretty good too. I don't know who is rated as the best, today, though....

Ronaldinho is getting more and more out of shape everyday... following in the footsteps of Brazil's Ronaldo. But I have to agree with most of these guys on C. Ronaldo and Messi, Ronaldo has some of the best footwork in the world and Messi is second to none in quickness. But whoever put Ribery and Gerrard.........Not So Much.

It varies, messi, probably is in the top 5, along with Gerrard, Kaka, Ronaldo, torres, Ribery. it changes due to long season injuries, or fitness, or just lack of concerntration, or issues at home, or transfer speculation.
