  1. i would have to go with slowey or baker(until liriano comes back). im going to pick slowey from those two because he's really been pitching well lately and is having a solid year. the important thing for him to keep his walks down. if he is doing that, hes not allowing tons of guys on base (his BAA is solid). baker has been great this year too, but i think his injury problems and lack of success in the majors til this year hurt him.

blackburn is solid too, but i think he's been giving up too many baserunners to keep his era sub 4. somethings gotta give.

  2. Livan Hernandez is the only one I wouldn't have an argument for.

Scott Baker has seemed to be the most consistent since returning. I can't really find any major flaws of the other 4. I'm just hoping Liriano gets over the hump so Livan can get dumped.

I would say Baker is the best and probably going to be the eventual ace of the staff.

  3. Livan Hernandez; he gets tons of wins, very few losses, and he pounds the strike zone.

  4. definitely not Hernandez. his era is over 5 and his whip is over 1.5.  And i cant be Perkins (their 5th starter) so that leaves Slowey, Baker, and Blackburn.  Slowey can be eliminated because, although he has the lowest whip, most of his good starts were against NL teams. That leaves Baker and Blackburn, Blackburn has more wins but Baker has a better era and a far better whip.  So the best pitcher on the twins is Scott Baker.

  5. gonna have to go with the bakers dozen.

  6. i would say scott baker. he pitched a no-hitter last season and he pitched well in boston last night. his win total is not too high, but he'll give you a chance to win every game because he has a great ERA.
