  1. all of them!!

your gp will tell u more in depth tho!!

  2. See your family doctor first. He will send you to the proper specialist.

  3. Osteopath..your GP will need to refer you first. Simple checks are done first by your GP to determine if it's sciatica or not. There is not always a need for a referral if it is sciatica..pain management/rest can help.I'm a Nurse and a horse rider, I know all about back ache!! To be honest two things I found help me, Pilate's and swimming. Of course if it is a slipped disk do not attempt that at this juncture!

  4. Sore point this, nagged my doctor for nearly 2 years about back and hip pain, put on hospital waiting list, in the meantime went to see a chiropractor who told me I had chronic si syndrome, made the pain much worse :( when I eventually got my hospital appointment 3 weeks ago, had an MRI scan and found I had a slipped disc which is pressing on the sciatic nerve ....big needle in back for me tuesday......so I say see an orthopaedic surgeon he has all the scanners needed for correct diagnosis...hope this helps  :)

  5. go to your doc first and he will confirm it by doing a  CT scan, MRI scan or a myelography - an injection into the spinal cord canal and then he will refer you on to a speciloist like they did with my mum!

  6. Orthopaedic surgeon.

  7. They will all help in different ways, neurosurgery is a bit drastic for sciatica, with the right lifting techniques etc you may never get it again.

  8. An undertaker ?
