Vlad can hit any pitch by any pitcher any time.

High or low, inside or outside, in the strike zone, out of the strike zone, in the dirt, over his head, you name it.

Albert is more disciplined and usually swings only at pitches in the strike zone, unless he is trying to set up a pitcher for a pitch that he can hit, to win a game or to drive in runs in a future game.

Good hitters play mind games with pitchers too!

Mind games are not the exclusive possession of pitchers trying to set up a hitter for a potential strike out or double play in a future game.

Conclusion. A tie!

The difference. Depends on how a hitter fits into a given managerial way of doing things and the execution of the systems.

Both LaRussa and Scoiscia are masters of player management.

Pujouls.  Hands down.  I think hes struck out like 30 times this year so far.  Hitters like Ryan Howard are close to 200 already.

Pujouls because he is young and is a RBI machine and Vlad is a good hitter but older than Pujouls and young hitters are what teams need.

Vlad is too human im sorry to say even though im an angels fan.

i have to give it to pujouls because he's a tad more consistent and had a great start to his career.  Vlad has some slumps where his average goes down a bit.

Pujols, has better mechanics and a better eye.  Of course pujols is younger so he has the advantage here.  The great thing about Vlad is his range in his swing, he can hit a ball a good foot and a half of the plate and he swing so hard.  But if your looking for a hitter who is capable of hitting 50 hr and a above .340 batting average pujols is your man
