Who is the better hunter and fighter? a cat or Opossum?

I'm kinda stuck on this one, but I'm leaning more towards the Cat.

Especially if you're talking about a Mountain Lion or something.

Opossums are scavengers, neither hunters nor fighters.  Like most animals, they will defend themselves if backed into a corner with no other recourse.  But as a rule, they do not go out looking to kill or fight (with non-opossums).

So it's rather self-evident that it would be cats.  I've seen my cat chase off opossums as well.
