Do you mean Crank by Ellen Hopkins? The only "Crash" I can find is about football (by Jerry Spinelli).

Hmm . . . it sounds awfully like the book Slam by Nick Hornby.

I haven't read it, but I put in 'skater gets girl pregnant' and that's what I got. The only books Crash came up with was Jerry Spinelli and JG Ballard.
