All i can say is that Port's captains have been awesome so far and i hope they continue the trend.

Warren Tredrea (at port i believe all captians have to wear the number 1 jumper) as did the other captains. Tredrea changed his number 16 because of that fact

who would want to captain port?? all there captains have had really bad injuries which sideline them for alot of games. wangerneen's hamstrings, primus's knees and now tredders knee?? when will this curse end?!

Warren Tredrea is in his first year as captain of Port after 6 years as vice captain and the comment by Flash about changing his jumper number is correct.

Warren Tredrea has been for the last few years, he took over from Matthew Primus, who was plagued by knee injuries and missed the 2004 grand final.

Gavin Wanganeen was given the captaincy for a while in Port's early years, but he didn't perform with the added pressure so the captaincy was handed off.

Port have had a variety of vice captains over the years: Stephen Paxman, Michael Wilson, Brendon Lade, Chad Cornes and Kane Cornes is being cited as a huge prospect to take over from Tredrea.
