There are always cynics. Obama offers hope and he says, "Let's dare to hope!"  Without hope, there is no inspiration, faith or reason!  

We are all disgusted with old career politicians who plug along accomplishing nothing. Obama is young, inspirational, charismatic, gifted!  He has a soaring intelligence, a talent in communicating his ideas and his goals.  He's not experienced, but who cares?  Experienced in what?  Doing nothing? Accepting the status quo? New ideas, fresh faces, a rebirth of American values...it is like the sun shining over the horizon after hours and hours of darkness!

Obama appeals to the young. I am not young, but I know what hope can accomplish.  Without it, I would be lost.  I call John McCain a "stick in the mud" candidate.  Sure, he's experienced at war.  He knows the worst of it, but he has never learned a thing, never learned to value peace, never learned to hope!  It's more of the same!

After eight years of Bush, hope is necessary to survive in this world of recession, lost jobs, low wages and growing numbers of poor!  Believe in Hope, because with this young, fearless and determined leader, we can save our country from ruin!  Yes, we can!

Me for one. I'm quite familiar with the US Constitution and almost nothing I've heard him promise is within the power of the President to accomplish. Which makes me very skeptical of Obama being able to accomplish any of the things he's promising.

The cynics mean that hope is nice and all, but hope itself is not a substantial solution to America's ills.  Hope can't balance the budget or end a war or put a man on the moon.  It can't even walk your dog.
