  1. I missed the last two episodes and havent bothered checking it out I will check back here for an answer though thanks

  2. First off, Battlestar Galactica executive producer Ronald D. Moore has stated that the 12th Cylon will not be one of the show's primary humans.  That rules out people like Admiral Adama (Edward James Olmos), Laura Roslin (Mary McDonnell), Starbuck, and basically anyone else you see in the opening credits.  Even without Moore's comments, I would have ruled those people out for being too obvious.  I think that the final model will be someone who flies under the radar.

    Gaeta

I've felt like there's more to Gaeta's character since the first season of the series, but we never seem to learn more about him.  Not only have I suspected that he's g*y ever since he fawned all over Baltar (James Callis) in the early days, but now I'm starting to suspect that he's a toaster as well.  As a tactical officer aboard the Galactica, he's in charge of many of the ship's systems.  He also got to keep a close eye on President Baltar when he was on New Caprica, and now gets to keep watch over Starbuck (Katee Sackhoff) as she tries to find Earth.  There's more to Gaeta than meets the eye, but will we ever discover exactly what secrets he holds?

    Ellen Tigh

Could the woman that was killed for collaborating with the Cylons actually be the final model?  It's an intriguing possibility, but I don't think Ellen is a toaster.  Colonel Tigh's (Michael Hogan) guilt over murdering his wife, which will be amplified now that he knows about his true nature, is a much juicier storyline if she stays dead.

    Cally

The instant Cally went out the airlock in last week's episode, speculation started up that she could be the final model.  She also told Doc Cottle that she started feeling strange when  the Galactica entered the nebula.  Could this have been a bit of foreshadowing?  I don't think so.  Like Ellen's death, I think that Cally's demise was more to add new shades of despair to her husband's character.  I don't think we'll be seeing her again.

    Zak Adama

What could possibly have a bigger emotional impact on the Admiral, Lee (Jamie Bamber), and Kara than the return of Zak Adama?  If Zak turned out to be a Cylon, it would torment these characters in a way that would make for fascinating television.  However, how is it possible?  We know that Zak was born to human parents, and as far as we know, two humans cannot have a Cylon baby.  Though it seems implausible, the recent mentions of Zak could be laying the groundwork for this reveal.

    The Wackier Options

Most of these options come courtesy of my colleague, who believes that the reveal of the final Cylon will not be as simplistic as we expect.  What if Earth is Caprica, Hera grows up to be Laura Roslin, and all that has happened before happens again?  What if Brother Cavil is both the first model and the last model?  What if the Number Six (Tricia Helfer) in Baltar's head is the final Cylon?  What if the Galactica crew arrives on Earth and discovers that President Bush is a toaster?  There's any number of strange possibilities, and because we know so little about the final five Cylons, any of them are plausible.

These are only a few of the people that I'm keeping my eye on.  I also wouldn't be surprised to see Kendra Shaw, Doc Cottle, or any other minor character from the BSG universe revealed as the big toaster.  Right now, everybody is a suspect.

  3. It has nothing to do with the old show, except the ships of course but there were never any human cylons in the 70's version.  Of course there was one in the 80's but that show was guff.
