  1. detroit's dan cleary, HE HAS THE SAME NAME AS ME!!!!!!

  2. Ryder is the career leader in goals and played many less games than Cleary..........Cleary was somewhat of a phenom in Junior though. I'd even take Ryan Clowe over Cleary....well maybe not but Ryder for sure.

  3. Actually active best NHLer from newfoundland would be Micheal Ryder he got more points which he got 176 points but if you mean older people who are retired would some one like Keith Brown who has 342 he got that much point in 16 NHL seasons 14 chicago black hawks and 2 with florida

  4. Dan Cleary

  5. wheres newfoundland?

  6. Cleary, Daniel.

  7. Keith Brown or Dan Cleary.

  8. I gotta nominate Dwayne Norris .. a friend of mine in California played hockey when they were kids on "the Rock"

While we're talking about this often mis-understood province can I tell a Newfie joke?

    (hello?)

    ok I guess it's ok.

"Did you hear about the Newfie who went looking for a summer job?"

He saw a sign that said "Ontario Left" made a U-turn and went back home.

  9. Daniel Cleary!

Although Alex Faulkner was the first, and prior to this year, the only Newfoundlander to play in a Stanley Cup final, Michael Ryder and Daniel Cleary have cemented their place in newfie lore.  Sometime over the next few days, Cleary will become the first Newfoundlander to have his name etched on the Cup

19 countries (Venezuela, Korea, Brunei, and Taiwan all came before Newfoundland)

    9 provinces

    27 states

    all came first

But Newfoundland will soon be represented (by a Chicago Black Hawks draft pick at that!)
