Mickey Cochrane, listed as #50 on the 100 Greatest Baseball Players as voted by the SABR, was from my hometown.

Any big-leaguers come from your hometown?

I suppose points go to the hometown with the most intriguing player!

  6. I know two players that were born in my city of Marietta (suburb of Atlanta) are Todd Jones and Jeremy Hermida.

    Now if you're talking about the whole Atlanta area...then we could come up with some big names. We are good at baseball down here   :)    We win the Little League World Series like, every year...lol...

  7. Jeff Conine, although listed Tacoma, Wa as birthplace, graduated from my alma mater, Eisenhower High School, in Rialto, CA. Also produced an NFL Hall of Famer Ronnie (I cut off my finger) Lott.
