  13. Shane Warne and again ~~IMRAN KHAN !

    .

  14. Since you asking for the cricketer woh has played iat an international level so it should be Shane Warne......the reason is because he was the only successful bowler at his time of debut when cricket was mostly dominated by Fast Bowlers....he was the only player who came struggled and still made a mark of his Magical Swinging Shaney Deliveries........

  15. Good Q Kookee!!!

There is no bowler which has been given such a status as undoubtedly the Best Ever Bowler.

I feel Muttaih Muralitharan and Shane Warne deserve to be called the Best bowlers of all time since they have achieved success on all types of tracks which any other bowler hasn't done.

So the title would be shared equally by the Spin Kings according to me.

  16. It all depends on the minimum number of matches.

Minimum 10 matches: (1) Thomas Richardson of England. 1893-98. 14 matches. 88 wickets. 25.22 runs per wicket. 6.29 wickets per match. 2.96 runs per over. 51 balls per wicket. He took 16.83% of all wickets which fell in the series that he played.

Minimum 10 matches: (2) Kenneth Higgs. England. 1965-68. 15 matches. 71 wickets. 20.75 runs per wicket. 4.73 wickets per match. 2.14 runs per over. 58 balls per wicket. He took 8.9% of all wickets which fell in the series that he played.

Minimum 20 test matches: Sydney F Barnes. England. 1901-14. 27 matches, 189 wickets @ 7 wickets per match. 16.43 runs per wicket. 2.36 runs per over. 41.6 balls per wicket. He took 15.59% of all the wickets that fell in the series he participated.

Minimum 30 matches: Muttiah Muralithran. 1992-present. 121 matches. 746 wickets. 6.165 wickets per match. 21.77 runs per wicket. 2.41 runs per over. 54 balls per wicket. Murali took 22% of all wickets which had fallen in the series he played.

  17. Greatest fastest bowler was undoubtedly DK Lillee.  He played at the time of World Series Cricket and he was lost to Australian cricket during that period.  However I believe his the godfather of modern fast bowling.  Who can forget his partnership with JR Thompson?

Shane Warne is the greatest of spin bowlers.  His record wickets from all cricketing countries but the majority from the strong countries.  I have never seen a leg spin bowler with the same level of control.

  18. Shane Warne. He is by and away the best because not only of the amount of wickets he took, but when he took them. He is responsible fro winning far more tests than any other bowler in history. His wickets were also taken all around the world on many different kinds of pitches. He also brought a lot of charisma to the game. He got bums on seats. Now there are many other bowlers that have done the same e.g. Lillie, The Windies quick’s of the 70's and 80's to name a few. But few turned as many matches as Warney. It is true that there are better averages, but unlike Bradman in batting, there is no one bowler that has played a fair amount of tests that has an average that is 40% better than their next competitor. So, other factors have to be considered and therefore value added has to be the benchmark we use. As far as that goes, Warney has it covered. Love him or hate him, he is the best bowler of all time and I think we are lucky to have seen him in action.

  19. Sydney Barnes is rated no 1 in ICC Best-Ever Test Bowling Ratings, Lohmann comes a close second. Lohmann maybe considered as the Bradman in bowling with that phenomenal average of 10.8 with over 100 wickets.

  20. If we go off statistics, there are several contenders.

George Lohmann. The best career average of any bowler to play Test cricket (qualification:75 wickets). He took 112 wickets in 18 matches at an average of 10.75. He also has the best career strike rate, of 34.19.

Muttiah Muralitharan has the most wickets in Test cricket, currently 746 at 21.77, and has 475 more in ODI's.

Wilfred Rhodes took 4, 187 wickets, at 16.71 in first-class cricket.

It really in an unanswerable question. Bradman stands out as the greatest batsman, as his figures are so freakishly higher than other players that there can be no argument, but how can we compare the medium-pace Lohmann of the 1890's with the mystery-spin of Murali, or the express pace of Harold Larwood with the guile and cunning of Shane Warne?

So in answer to your question: no one. That person has yet to play.

    Unless it is you!!!!
