  1. In my opinion the greatest featherweight champ of them all was Willie Pep even if Sandy Saddler seemed to have his number.  One of the greatest boxers of all time with great movement in the ring which constantly kept opponents off balance.  Before fighting Saddler and losing his title in their first fight, his record was 135-1-1, one of the most amazing boxing streaks in history.  He was champ from 1942-48 and then regained it from Saddler in 1949 and losing it to him in 1950.  He won his first 63 fights before losing to Sammy Angott, and was 72-0-1 in his next 73 fights before losing to Saddler.

    Total wins:  230

    Total losses:  11

    Kayo's:  65

    Draws:  1

    Honorable mention to:

    Salvador Sanchez

    Sandy Saddler

    Ruben Olivares

    Eder Jofre

  2. Eagle Feather

  3. Willie Pep or Sandy Saddler

Most consider Pep as the greater alltime fighter, but Saddler beat them in most of their head to head encounters.

  4. salvador sanchez;here is a video of sanchez koing 2 boxing hall of famers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJUttwIuJ...

  5. Willie Pep Without a doubt

  6. Willie Pep, 230-11-1 with 65 KOs.

He is considered one of the best pound for pound fighters of all time.

Except for Sugar Ray Robinson I consider him the best fighter of all time.

  7. Its hard for me to pick a guy like Willie Pep who is generally considered the best, because I've read about him way more than seen him on film.

I'd go with either of the two featherweights of this generation, Barrera or Morales.  I think as time passes these two are going to be considered the top shelf of all-time featherweights.

I'd actually go with Morales, I think he had the better chin and one-punch power.  Barrera may have been more versatile, but only slightly.

  8. Barry mcguinen or prince nassem.

  9. Prince Naseem Hamed

  10. Willie Pep gets my vote.

He is among the all time best as a defensive wiz.

  11. Floyd "Money" Mayweather

  12. Barry McGuigan?  Son, Barry may have been a nice guy but with limited skills and his reign lasted barely a year.  As for modern era featherweights I would have to go with Salvador Sanchez who reigned for only 2.5 years but was only 23 when he was tragically killed and was only getting better.  Then there was Azumah Nelson, Eusebio Pedroza, and between those 3 in my opinion anyway, are three of the best modern era feathers.  Willie Pep may have beaten all three or maybe lost.  We'll never know but all four were great champions.  Hamed, Barrera and Morales were all champs for only a short time but did have some memorable bouts between them. Honorable mention: Johnny Tapia, Manuel Medina, Manny Pacquiao, Wilfredo Gomez, Antonio Esparrogoza.
