  1. Leigh Matthews for me.....legend of the game, and the man talks sense.

  2. gary ablett seniour...tony lockett.....Ron barassi

  3. Ronald Dale Barrassi

  4. Barassi, Sheedy, or Matthews

  5. Matthew Pavlich

  6. It'd have to be either Ron Barassi or Leigh Matthews.  But I'm leaning towards Ron.

  7. That is hard considering Ablett and Carey turned out to be such wan*ers....so I would have to say (in terms of number of games played and current iconic standing) Sam Newman....although I don't like it!

  8. TOMMY HAFEY.  He played at Richmond, went bush and coached Shepparton  to 3 flags.  He Returned to Tigers in ' 66  won a flag in his second season, their first in 28 years,  and in 9 years his total was 4 up to 1976.    In 1977 he coached Collingwood from "last", to a drawn Grand final and replay,  The Magpies then contested the Grand finals of 79, 80 and 81.  In 1982 he was sensationally sacked by the Magpies, but his record 5 Grand Finals in 5 years is  never likely to be equaled.
