Traditionally, the name is given to the lion, but since the vast majority of lions live on the open savannahs of Africa, not in jungles, it is rather inappropriate (the only lions outside this habitat and continent is the small population of Asiatic lions in the Gir Forest of India). Personally, I prefer the name King of Beasts for the lion. King of the Jungle is really more appropriate for the tiger.

Traditionally, it's the lion, but they live in the savannah, not the jungle.

So, technically, it should be the tiger.
