  1. Well if you take longest to mean tallest then: Leonid Stadnyk - Confirmed tallest living person by Guinness World Records at 8'5" ;)

    If you mean age-wise: "Jeanne Calment of France (1875–1997), who died aged 122 years and 164 days"

If you look up longest lifespan, you will get different answers, because the further back in time you go...The least reliable the birth records are.  For example, some birth records may consist of notes tucked into family bibles; some people are born with no birth records at all (John Lom, star of the film 'The Last Emperor', does not know exactly how old he is.).  AND, every country wants to CLAIM the longest-lived....So, pretty open question.
