  5. Of the current drivers, I would have to say Michael Waltrip or Casey Mears. They've both tasted success and both tasted ultimate failure and everything in between.

  7. Dale Jr.  I don't think he deserves to be 2nd in points. He races like an average guy.  You really never see him up front. He just settles for 7th and 8th place every week.

  9. I would have to say Michael Waltrip, for the past 20 years or so, he's just been there. He's never leading, always hanging near the back. He just never reached the "above-average" level

  12. The average finish in NASCAR is 21.5 as that x2 is 43. Whoever has the closest to 21.5 is the most average driver *looks it up*

    Among drivers with 100+ starts, Joe Frasson is the most average with an average finish of 21.551.

  13. Elliott Sadler has an average start of 20.4, an avg. finish of 22.4 and an overal avg. in the final standings of 21.2 (just using his 10 full seasons).  I don't know how much more middle of the road ou can get than that.

  18. Must be nice to be 2nd in the standings and just be average...what does that make the guys lower than him?  Below average?  What about the guys hanging on in the 12th, 13th, 14th positions?  They just must flat out suck.  Kyle must be the ONLY above average driver Nascar has....
