Who is the most despised team in the NHL??

During last hockey season, I am going to say the Kings.  

They gave everybody as reason to say, "What the heck happened".  LA managed to beat some teams, that normally you think would be impossible:

They spanked the Ducks in UK (first game of the season) 4-1.

12/6/2007:  They beat the Sabres 8 to 2

11/2/2007:  They beat the Sharks 5 to 2

10/23/2007:  They beat Nashville 6 to 0

2/7/2008:  They beat the Red Wings 5 to 3

and the worst

01/09/2008:  They beat the Blackhawks 9 to 2....ouch!

Don't get me wrong, they were the 2nd worst team in the league, but they did manage to pull of some upsets.  I am not sure if that make fans despise the Kings or respect them......there is a fine line.

Right now, Detroit!

Before the cap they were accused of buying a team and were expected to fall down to earth when the Cap took effect. It didnt happen. For the fans, I would think its DET. But for players and owners and league officials, etc..... they would be the most respected and modeled.

But as you can read from people on here, if they arent a DET fan, they DESPISE them like people despise New England in Football.

The Ducks are pretty hated. The Wings are hated because they are so good. The Flyers are hated because of some brain farts by players that resulted in suspensions. The Pens are hated a bit because people get sick if Sid.

since the strike...i dont know if there is one...it leveled everyone out so their all even...players got shuffled faster than a deck of cards...and i dont know if there was a team....there were ALWAYS despised players, i think alot more than teams were.

i have to agree with joe on this one. the flyers. if you even mention them in the hockey section most of the answers that come out are how dirty we are and stupid stuff like that. nobody looks at the fact that we went from being the worst team in hockey to almost being eastern conference champions ... but who cares about that?

Well it depends who you talk to...Pens fans might say the Flyers,Rangers fans might say the Flyers,Canadians fans might say the Flyers...I think you get me...I will say the Flyers.
