  1. Jim the Fee, here

I had the pleasure meeting with and getting to know the

(then) ex-President of the United States - Jimmy Carter.

I may have the only picture of Jimmy Carter taking a picture

on an Island owned by Royal Carribean Cruise Line; while

we were at a stop there.  We were all aboard the Monarch

of the Sea's maiden voyage because Rosyln Carter had christened the ship earlier and were lucky enough to be on board with 35 members of the Carter entourage (including

secret service protectors) and all of the immediate family.

Amy was on board; but Billy was not.  Jimmy Carter went on

to become one of the major leaders in the Habitat for the Humanities world wide program.  I went on to continue my

    career and into retirement.

Mr. Jimmy Carter is a fine gentle man who was probably

out-of-his-depth in the office of President; but he did the best

that he knew how while in office.

And THAT is all I have to say about that!!

    Cheers,

    Jim the Fee

  2. Amadeus Gotha

  3. other than myself my girlfriend.

  4. My mom, no doubt.  I love my friends- except they come and go.  I love my brother, but he bugs me... I love my grandmother, except she abuses her position of being old and doesn't do anything but gamble and make everyone do things for her.  And my dad has the worse mood swings from drinking that I'll never quiet respect him.  My mother has always been there for me, she cheers me up whenever I'm sad or angry (which is everyday, I have mood swings too), she cooks, cleans, jokes... she's amazing.  If she left me, I'd be heartbroken forever.

  5. Mom, plain and simple. Rationally speaking, existence into the classical world was made possible by my one and only mother.

  6. Well, apart from God himself,, i would have to say my doctor, because my health is in his hands when i am ill, i have to trust him with my life (literally)...

  7. At this moment in time Robert Mugabe but for all the wrong reasons.

It is sad to think in our so called civilized society tyrants such as he are still able to dominate a country and persecute people with evil intent and we appear unable to do anything about it.

He is important because he represents all the negative qualities of man that we should strive to overcome. The sooner he is brought to account the better.

  8. i would love to say myself

but honestly.. that's selfish and i know i'm not the most important one

but i don't know who else it can be

i would say god or jesus but... i'm not that religious...

  9. Philosophically speaking, the value of a person is intrinsic.  That means: the value of a person is based on his human nature and everybody is the same.

Many people would say themselves as they are associating the lost of life if they are less important.  Or, some would associate with their mom as their mom is the origin where they came from.  They forget that the contribution of a sperm from their dad biologically.  For sure, some people would think themselves as the most important no matter what as they think they are on their own.  They have to care themselves most than any other person.  They would not expect someone other than themselves would care themselves more than themselves. ... I am not talking about religion, but, I personally know someone who died for the others when he was the social worker of a group and was outing with the kids.  It was very sad but his act will remain in my mind for ever...

  10. Do you think Jesus was a person? Can being a person ever be so important? I do not think so. To me no individual is so important. On the other hand, it is more important to know and understand the ordinary and normal people around us, which is what is likely to matter more in our life.

  11. God, Jesus, my mother, my children and my grandchildren. I know you said person but without anyone of them i would not have made it through some very rough times in my life.

  12. Bob Marley.

"Hey mister music, sure sounds good to me, I can't refuse it; what to be got to be."

When his music hits me.....I feel no pain.

Bob Marley was a good man.   His goal was to make positive changes in our world.   I wish more people would listen with an open heart & help him sing his songs of freedom.

  13. not philosophy

  14. albert camus and friedrich nietzshce, they reallty widened my horizon on what is religion and how it enslaves us, really liberating.

  15. I have a tie: Jesus Christ, my Lord and Personal Saviour and may wife.  My tie comes from this: most of my adult life I have been actively addicted to one drug or another, I have been clean and sober for eight months, I have a career where I help others on a daily basis where I feel like I make a difference and that life is worth living; thanks to my wife, through daily encouragement and love, and thanks to Jesus Christ through daily prayer and meditation.

  16. My dear "T-man"....

Well... I have "several" answers... For the entire world, such people like : Mother Theresa, Nelson Mandella, the great Dr. Martin Luther King, Bishof Tutu...and.. many MORE competent leaders, who contributed MUCH GOOD to the world I regard as : IMPORTANT PEOPLE !!!!

On the "personal front"... I would have to mention : my parents, who have cared for me all their lives...(and my Mom is 88 yrs. / Dad is 91 yrs.) - and now, that they're "old"... I take care of them...because one should always try to "give back" a little care & compassion to those you love !!! My 2 kids would follow next..."in line"...whom I consider very "important" in my life !!!

Wishing you all the best for the future ! Greetings from Germany... Annette***

  17. The woman who shot Andy Warhol.

  18. my mom, why? she gave me life, teached me SO much, has always been their for me, always loved me, has fought for me, never gave up on me, and is simply amazing!!

  19. My Mother

  20. This might sound egotistical, but hear me out. I'd have to say that the MOST important person I know is myself. I mean think about it for a moment - if I were to ever stop knowing myself, I'd either have to be dead or bat-s**t insane, in which case nothing in the world would be able to matter to me. So this makes me the most vital person I know as far as my experiences in this world. Without me, my world wouldn't even exist.

Now if you want to know who the most important person -aside- from myself is, I'd have to say the collective unified being alternately dubbed as "my parents" (they are one flesh, after all, are they not?). ;-)

  21. My mom, I know, so original of me to say. My mother is though, because she is a single mother, who has raised two kids on her own and she has never given up on us. She's always been there for us, no matter what.

Also, my dance mom and her daughter. They have always been there for me too, supporting me, and pushing me forward. Helping me, caring about me.

And my friends, close and true. For always being there when I needed them.

  22. My fiance.............simply because I know it deep inside that I would die for her. Or I would die for my faith.

What is greater love than dying for someone ? Christ did the same.

  23. I am, because I can be the change that I want to see in the world.

  24. My husband! :D  He is the most important person to me, in my life.  He is my hero, my best friend, my lover, my manly man!  He is a wonderful husband and father.  I feel totally confident, in love, after 25 years of marriage!  :D Blessings!

  25. there are many but i am trying to know how much i am important to them ...i am trying to know myself and my importance to this world.

  26. Mine is also Bob Marley... At the first time I did not want to write it here, but somebody already has so so can I.

I appreciate his wisdom and all the beautiful messages he put in his songs. I wish there were more people like him. He is my idol. I know he was not perfect, but in my opinion he did a lot for this world and made it  a more beautiful place.

    REST IN PEACE MR. MARLEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But ofcourse that my family... But I cannot compare Bob with my mom cause what they give me is totally different.

  27. The utter truth is that, many years from now, the earth shall be blown to bits when the sun goes, or, on the off chance that the sun 'dies', the earth will become a ball of ice...

Either way, all mark of human shall no longer matter... Therefore, there is no one thing or person of 'importance'. Nothing matters...

  28. That would be myself. Because other than the ones I know and love in my life so far, I only know myself best, and whatever choices I make will affect me. In my opinion, the most important person would be someone I'm closest to.

When I'm alone, that important person is still with me. It's me, myself, and I only.

  29. Well, since this is obviously one of those Jesus questions from your response to skeeter's answer, I'll just whatever since all I really want is the 2 points.

There is and should not be one most important person ever since essentially our "I" view of ourselves is a huge mix of everything that influences us.  We should find every idea important, every person, ever thought that is and wasn't because essentially that is our "I".

And one other thing:  How can so many people say they know someone who's been dead for 2000 years yet when their own mother dies, they never hear from her again?  I think they carry this aspect of spiritualism in an unrealistic concept.  A guy named Jesus didn't write a bible...a lot of other people wrote about him.  So basically you "know" someone else's perception of someone whom you they or you have never actually met.  I blame contemporary Christian rock.

  30. ME. I am the most important person I know. I decide everything about me and my life so I am responsible for everthing that affects me. That makes me very important.

  31. god......and when i say that i mean jesus who died for my sins  i love the bible it really relates to real life
