  1. the influential thinker/writer in our time is oprah, although i do not adore her to the point where i worship or praise like many woman in america...but i do think that she has a large impact on many people, i recall her saying that "you dont have to have a religeon, just be happy" or something in that category. and many woman and people are just nodding away and agreeing before they think for themselves, she has become a sort of thought or brain if you may for bored/mindless housewives. if she says a book is good, then by God its one of the greatest books of our time...wow really?

  2. Jesus for He offers the wisdom of the cosmos.

PART IV. THE LIFE AND TEACHINGS OF JESUS

  3. Me. A philosopher who's name I don't know once said I think therefore I am. And by that logic we are all thinkers and I as a thinker owe it to myself to get all the facts before letting others influence my decisions. Be the outcome good or bad I made the choice not you so I am the one that Influenced me.

EDIT: I am also in the middle of writing a book so I cover the writer ground also.

dav pilkey - Captian underpants is super wiked.

  5. Ayn Rand. Until reading her works I was struggling to form arguments properly.

  6. Thomas Merton

He shows us our potential connection to our forgotten spiritual nature.

    Thich Nhat Hanh

He gives us the tools and understanding in how to use them to reach our spiritual center.

    Jack Kornfield

He demonstrates the depth of knowledge and spirit to use both the East and the West to help us see our true spiritual value and connection to all things.

Edit: I do not consider Jesus a writer/thinker... rather my Lord and Savior and my God though whom all things are and remain due to his grace and love.
