  1. overrated: Carlos Zambrano, Derek Jeter, Edison Volquez

underrated: CC Sabathia, he gets attention but he has brought so much confidence to the entire brewers team, its amazing, he doesnt recieve enough credit.  Kyle Lohse, 12-2 and he doesnt get into the allstar game, unbelievable.  Yadier Molina, best defensive catcher in the majors, hitting well over .300, and is the hardest player to strike out in the majors.

  2. I agree with the guy who says Jeter is not overrated.

Look at his stats! The guy has BETTER numbers than Pete Rose at this stage in his carreer. More hits. Higher average. Higher slugging. Higher on base. More runs. Much more home runs. In fewer games at a younger age.

Because of the number of people who claim that he is overrated, I'll but Jeter as the most UNDERRATED player in the game today.

  3. The most funny thing to me is wenever sombody askes a common question like this one

And almost all the time who comes up Derek jeter

Das jus hillarious to me becuz derek jeter is not overated matter fact he is underated

its cuz he is not flashy and intstead of hitting home runs he hits singles

and he is not a hall of famer because he plays for the yankees if u look at his stats he is having a bad year this yea but year in year out he is near the top of batting average and one base percentage for shortstops and yearley has 200+ hits jeter is not overated

i think alot of players on the red sox are overated and theyre stats are inflated becuz of the green monster like lowell or ortiz but dey are just playing to theyre advantages

  4. Overrated - Kosuke Fukudome

    Underrated - Carlos Lee

  5. overrated - Kosuke Fukudome

    underrated - Brandon Phillips

  6. most underrated is magglio ordenez of the detroit tigers

    overrated is barry zito

  7. Overated Kosuke Fukodome  Underated David Dejesus (on pace to have nearly 100 RBIs from the leadoff position for the Royals.)

  8. overrated:  Jeter, A-Rod, most of the Yankees

underrated: JD Drew (but he's getting more attention since the All-Star game)

  9. Overated: A-Rod

    Underrated: Tim Lincecum

  10. overrated are jeter and zito

underrated are hanley ramirez and edison volquez

  11. Overated - Kosuke Fukodome

    - J.Varitek(Hitting below .240 and hes the captain of the defending champs ? ha what a joke)

    - O.Cabrera(great year last year not so much this year)

    - T.Tulowitzki (i knew he was a bust!)

    Underated

    - K.Lohse(the guy is 12-2 entering todays game ! give him some respect !)

    - J.Cantu (what a great year this guy is having not recognized enough)

    -

  12. Overrated...Alex Rodrigues  he is good but, not the "best player in baseball" as so many people claim

Underrated...Jon Lester.  He is really (in my opinion) the Red Sox ace this year.

  13. Overrated- Ryan Howard

    Underrated- Aaron Rowand

  14. Overrated Ortiz Evan Longoria

    Underrated Lincecum Hanley rameriz

  15. Over rated by far with no doubt is Fukudome. If not for The Japanese and all the voting they had done, this guy surely would not, and should not have started in All Star game. His numbers at best are mediocre.

Under rated, this season anyway, I would say Carlos Lee. If not for the sad Astros, he would be recognized more so for what he is doing and has been doing. Berkman usually gets most of the respect, and perhaps rightfully so, but Lee has been a major factor to the team. Not his fault his team cant pitch.

  16. Most Overrated: Barry Bonds, he takes steroids and still is the # 1 story in the MLB.

Most Underated- Nate McLouth, I might be biased as a Pirates fan but he has power, speed, and can come up big in key situations
