who is the most over-rated cricketer ever?

Yes, it's none other than MS Dhoni. I don't know what special he has achieved in his career which has made him the costliest player of IPL, and from where he got the authority to sack the 2 most talented players-Ganguly and Dravid from the squad. Dhoni's batting technique is pathetic, and his strike rate is deteriorating day by day. There are far better players in the Indian team than Dhoni. Yet, Dhoni is there to take all the glory when India wins. MS Dhoni is just an underachiever, who is overhyped by the Indian media, for some obscure reason.

Right now it seems to be Dale Steyn - yes the guy is good and all but he seems to be expected of a lot after having a few good matches - its just luck in my opinion and alot of cricketers are capable of what he does

Ever - Shane Warne  - if you look at his odi stats , theyre now where near as good as his test stats, hes a fantastic bowler but is said to be the best bowler ever and i totally disagree with that

He was the most costliest player in IPL.That was very surprising when IPL had many many legends like Sachin,Ponting,Gilchrist,Ganguly,Dravid,... & in front of all those all time greatest legends,this new-comer Dhoni was the costliest player.He is indeed the most over-rated player than anybody.& when we see his batting,most of the time,he would edge it.He can’t pick up the ball well nor time it well/.He needs to improve in his agility & fitness.He was given the captainship sooner than ever.No one expected that a player will come,,after 2 years,he will be named as a captain.In comparing the last 2 years,Yuvraj has also performed very well & very very well than Dhoni.Despite,dhoni was given the captaincy & not Yuvraj.& Yuvraj is more experienced than dhoni.Dhoni is just a new comer.It was surprising that dhoni gained the captaincy over Yuvraj & Yuvi is a vice-captain.

All these reasons explains dhoni is the most over-rated cricketer.

obvious shahid afridi..... he played from last 12 years (260+ matches). and what he gives to his team in this tenure. only disappointment. No reputation in ground as he could do for win a match. many junior players from him make prove themselves as trusted players. but he sucks...   why he in team.. any one have IDEA
