  1. That perfectly describes Albert Pujols.

  2. A-Rod is definitely one of the most talented.

  3. I would say Mariano Rivera, just based on his effectiveness.

Sure Trevor Hoffman has more saves (he's also older, with 2 more seasons of experience). While there are many multi-talented pitchers and batters out there, I believe his dominance of the 9th inning is proof enough of his talents. That's not to mention that he throws perhaps the greatest/most effective pitch ever.

If you must have a batter as the best player, then I suppose Albert Pujols would suffice.

  4. Arod has the most tools in baseball but his inability to come up big at times has hurt his reputation

Pujols is the best hitter in baseball.

Johan Santana is a great all around player. Fields his position well, most consistent pitcher in baseball and has showed some skills with the bat this year.

  5. this might sound like a strange answer but i will say carlos zambrano. the guy can pitch and hit like no other (its rare for a top 5 pitcher to be a great hitting pitcher like he is).

  6. i have to say Aflonso Soriano

    Hes a 5 star player

    Hits for power

    Hits for avg

    Has speed

    Good eye

quick at everything in the plate

  7. Well that is hard to answer, because so many players are on steroids. Here are the best player ever on steroids and not on steroids:

    Steroids: Barry Bonds

No Steroids: Ken Griffey Jr., if he didn't have so many injuries he could be over 800 HR's by now.

  8. Chase Utley.

  9. The top answers to this question will surely be A-Rod (yankees), and Albert Pujlos (cardinals). Im going to say the best player is Matt Holloday (rockies). He is the type of hitter that a franchise would like to start a team around. Not only is he great in the clubhouse, but he has arguably the most power to the opposite field. Last year he led the league in opposite field homers. Holloday also hits for a high average (.315-.335) and can hit the fastest fast balls and the dirtiest curve balls!

  10. David Wright's pretty talented.

-young, gold glover, good power, good average, takes his walks, can steal 20 bases. his biggest negative is he'll make errors.

    Alfonso Soriano

-hits for power, great speed, good average. his biggest negative is (despite what cubbiesfanforlife said) he's known to swing at everything

    Albert Pujols

-excellent batting. situational hitting, batting average, power, taking his walks. gold glove fielder. not great speed but smart on the bases

    Alex Rodriguez

-good fielder. great batting average and power. above average speed. not always the best situational hitter. bad numbers in the playoffs, and bad numbers with runners on base. this has been a problem with him for a while.

    overall i'll say pujols.

  11. If you realy want to know hows best a-rod is break barry bonds record

  12. Im  not a fan of him by all means but A-Rod. All you will say he is not good but at the same time will admit he will break Bonds record.

  13. Albert Pujols: He's the only player in history to start off a career by consistently hitting more than 40 home runs each year, even as a rookie. Not even Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, Barry Bonds, A-Rod, or all the other greats did this.

And, already, Albert Pujols helped bring the Cardinals to the World Series twice, and winning one of them. This is something A-Rod failed to do, despite being a great player himself. Albert also show no sign of slowing down. His slugging percentage and his RBIs are always in the top 10 of the Major League.

  14. Whoever said alfonso soriano is the most talented is mentally insane. Although he does have some speed and can hit for power, he cannot be a contact hitter, plus he can't field or throw.

Anyway, you cannot say there is one singly most talented as there are two types of players, pitchers and non-pitchers. We'll start with the pitchers. The most talented pitcher is between Joba Chamberlain and Mike Mussina (I am an Indians fan who dislikes the Yankees). Joba Chamberlain is the hardest thrower in baseball and consistently gets the best players out. He isn't even in his prime yet, but I still consider him one the best. I also consider Mussina one of the most talented because he still dominates the game when he is 7 or 8 years older than the average player. He has a wicked [knuckle] curveball and nice change-up. Another pitcher who could be added for the same reasons as Mussina is Randy Johnson, who can still throw in the mid 90's at age 40 (or so).

Next, is the position players.  I think it is between a-rod and hanley "manly" ramirez. Alex Rodriguez is twice the hitter Bonds was without any use of foreign substances. Not only can he hit for home runs, but he is also a singles and doubles hitter. Bonds was very egotistical and just tried for the Big Fly, but Rodriguez owns the Batters Box. He can go with a pitch hit a single, double, home run, whatever the team needs. Hanley "Manly" Ramirez is the ultimate leader for a baseball team. Being a power hitter, he will hit 30-35 home runs a year. Being a speed demon, he will steal at least 45-50 bases every year. He even has a chance to be the 4th member of the 40-40 club this year, and probably two or three more times in his career. There ya go, the most talented in Baseball.
