Who is the most under rated player in the NHL?

Who is the most under rated player in the NHL? I would say Brett Clark of the Clolorado avalanche.

You can't really say that Malkin or someone like that is under rated when they are one of the poster children for the NHL. So keeping that in mind I would have to say that Mike Richards of the Philadelphia Flyers is the most under rated player in the NHL.

Mike Richards will soon be named captain of the team and has held together a team that went from last place in the NHL to losing in the Conference Finals the very next year.  He is looked at as a leader, a goal scorer and one of the best penalty killers in the league (his shorthanded goals will back this up). He can also be the physical spark a team needs. He is one of the very few players in the league that is completely well-rounded. If I'm building a franchise this is one guy to build around which the Flyers have done locking him up long term. This guy could very well be classified near Crosby, Malkin and Ovechkin, he might not be as flashy but he's a complete, solid, top player that is definitely overlooked.

My vote is for Vinny LeCavalier.  He can score with the best of them.  He has size, he can play defense, and fight.  Reminds me of Gordie Howe, though obviously not as good.  Regardless, Vinny is a great player, a key player on the 2004 Lightning championship team, and does not get much recognition because of guys like Crosby and Ovechkin.

Henrik Zetterberg he won the Conn Smythe as playoff MVP, he was a finalist for the Selke Trophy, and he had 92 points in 2007-2008 season

I would also add Johan Franzen to the list, but I think people started seeing how could this guy can be in the playoffs.

Another player that is probably not under rated but just hasn't played long enough to get the exposure yet is Paul Stastny of the Avalanche.  He is going to be a good one.
