Who is the most underrated driver in NASCAR right now?

IMO, Clint Bowyer is very underrated because he's a very good driver, but nobody really mentions it though.

i think David Reutimann is the most underrated driver in NASCAR now...just look at how well he does on a regular basis getting top 20 finishes with subpar equipment

Kenseth.  That guy gets no coverage or attention even when he's winning.  He and JJ are the only two drivers to make every chase.  He's won a championship, etc, etc.

I think David Ragan is up and coming for sure.. his lack of track time leaves him underrated.. Look for him to do well at MIS

i think mat kenseth is.  i havnt heard them talk about him much at all this year and he is a pretty good driver and is in 12 in the points now.  greg Biffle also gets looked over a lot to.  Not that much at beginning of the season but in the past 2 months he has not been talked about much and he is in 10th in the points.  Jeff Burton to, same as Biffle they talked about him a lot at the beginning but not much in the past 2 months.

I agree.  Ragan and Truex come to mind as well.

Harvick fan, I think you're right, Vickers is really doing well and doesn't get much credit for it.

I think Ryan Newman, they say how much he is struggling but everytime I check, he is in the top 10 and is 15th in points. Good question, some other notables: Brian Vickers, Clint Bowyer, Greg Biffle, Elliott Sadler, Kasey Kahne, Kevin Harvick, and Martin Truex Jr.

Brian Vickers. Hands down. I saw him win Talladega cutthroat style. That takes some stones.

Travis Kvapil - with what he has been able to accomplish with an underfunded team and limited sponsorship is commendable.

I think right now, Brian Vickers is under-rated. He is doing better than he usually does and is poised to make the chase next year (not this year).

I think Greg Biffle is the most underrated. He has had some rotten luck this year and is quietly still in the Top 12. I also think Jeff Burton is underrated.

I have to stick with Jeff Burton.  He's still hanging in there, but not talked about much...kinda flying under the radar!  Watch him win the cup!  Amazing...

Probably Biffle. I think he is one of the top 5 best drivers out there, just hasn't had a lot of stuff to go his way.

I'm surprised I haven't heard much about Jeff Burton under this one!  Jeff Burton to me is one of the most underrated NASCAR drivers not only right now, but of all time!  He's not one of my faves, but he's absolutely a great driver.

Have to agree with everyone who said Biffle. I'm not a Biffle fan, but if he wins a race I get some warm fuzzies. He's a good driver and doesn't get the praise he deserves. I've heard lots of people say the same thing for years now.

They said on Yahoo! Sports that Matt Kenseht and Greg Biffle are the two most underrated. I agree with them. One of the most overrated I think is David Ragan.

For the chase contenders it's Biffle, Hamlin and Kenseth.  Biffle has not had the same type of consistent cars that Carl and Matt have had the last couple of years but he is wheelman in every sense of the word.  Denny is just as talented as Kyle and Tony, in my opinion, but hasn't had the finishes he has deserved or gotten the attention that his teammates get a lot of the time.  Matt is in contention, year after year, but somehow he does not get mentioned along with Gordon, Johnson and Stewart.  As far as drivers that should have full time rides but don't, I would say that Boris Said and Tony Raines are grossly underrated.  I think their ages hurt their marketability to teams and sponsors but their driving is worthy of a seat in the cup series.
