Who is the mother and father of Daedalus the Greek Myth.

  1. Daedalus's parents are not named--his sons, Icarus and Iapyx, and his nephew, Perdix, are the only relatives named in the original Greek myth. The Romans gave him a parentage, however (grandson of the king Erechtheus, etc.) and made him Athenian rather than Cretan.

    Try Edith Hamilton's book on mythology.

    The Athenian Daedalus, son of Metion (father) and the grandson of Erechtheus (grandfather), was a famous architect, inventor, and craftsman.

  3. Well the pair is Daedalus and Icarus.

    I think Icarus is the son of Daedalus. But the mother is never mentioned.

    Daedalus' parents aren't mentiond either
