  1. Some of the older ones I've watched or heard about so far this year are

Ian Millar (CAN) age 61 > Silver in team equestrian

Juan Esteban Curuchet (ARG) age 43 > Gold in cycling

Dara Torres (USA) age 41 > 3 Silvers in swimming

Constantina Tomescu (ROM) age 38 > Gold in marathon

Oksana Chusovitina (GER) age 33 > Silver in vault

Some of the other older competitors this year (I'm not even sure if some have competed yet, there are so many events) are

John Dane III (USA) age 58 > sailing (competing in his first Olympics after 40 years in Olympic trials)

Susan Nattrass (CAN) age 57 > trap shooting

Haile Satayin (ISR) age 53 > marathon

Jujie Luan (CAN) age 50 > fencing

And the oldest competitor at the games this year is Hiroshi Hoketsu (JPN) age 67 > dressage rider. He competed at the 1964 games and sets a new record with 44 years between competitions.
