My husband and I are watching the Cardinals game and I am wondering who the oldest player in a majors is. I want to know only the oldest player that STILL gets out on the field and actually PLAYS, not the oldest guy who HAS played.

Thanks,

  5. I thought it was C. Shilling. o well

  6. Jamie Moyer 45

    Randy Johnson 44

  7. Jamie Moyer would be correct. He's twice Joba's age!

  8. yeah, the cubbie guy (above) got it, and i wonder if he/she remembers waaaay back in 1986 when jamie broke in with the cubbies--he was 7-4 that year, if my memory serves me correctly. Also, jamie will probably be the last big leaguer to win 300 games. Jamie might do it 'cause he will pitch until he's 50...

  9. I think the top 4 or 5 oldest players are all pitchers.

The oldest position player is Moises Alou.  He's 42.

  10. Jaime Moyer and he can still pitch at least 7 innings.45 yrs
