  1. Mine was and still is Mike Vick for Atl Falcons

  2. Jason Varitek

I know, he's slumping this year, but he is still the guy who controls the field, handles the pitches and acts as the Captain.  Can't do without him!

  3. MY ALLTIME FAVORITE TEAM IS THE COWBOYS FROM DALLAS IF THEY LOST TONY ROMO THEYD BE IN SOME DEEP ****  CAUSE BRAD JOHNSON THERE BACK-UP SUCKS BAD  AND NOONE HAS GREAT AGILE MOVES LIKE TONY HES DETERMINED AND ALWAYS FOCUSED AND HE ALWAYS HAS A POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE WHEN ITS GAMETIME AND ALSO HES A PRO BOWLER HANDS DOWN THEY NEED TONY ROMO

  4. Well in the spirits of the olympics going on right now, how about the US Mens swimming team needing Micheal Phelps to stay afloat. No pun intended.

  5. Right now, Joe Nathan. We are a pretty strong team, except for our bullpen. Joe Nathan is our only consistant pitcher in the bullpen right now.

  6. padres are my fav, but i keep up most with my 2nd fav (Red Sox)

Red Sox need Pedroia and Youkilis. They are both amazing players and come through all the time. They already lost Ramirez :/

I agree the Angels are a great team. saw them sweep the socks earlier this summer.

  7. Angels are alll about "team". I love how there's enough depth to cover diff people and every player is capable of saving the game or stepping up when guys get hurt

It would be nice if Angels had this like loooong term contract on Vladdy though. It'd be weird to not have Vlad around ^^

  8. I'd have to pick 2:

Chase Utley-obviously he is a huge part to both our offense and defense and it would kill us not to have him. (on a personal note, i couldn't afford to not see his adorable face every game, ha)

Shane Victorino-the flyin' hawaiian is so full of life and I think he breaks up the tension that comes with the season coming down to the wire.  He plays with all of his heart and just want to contribute.  (Did you see that play tonight when he reached third on a bad throw, had to go back on an interference, then reached third on a Greg Dobbs single, eventually went home and then hit the ump....crazy.)

  9. Zambrano

he always stops the losing streaks

  10. i like the yankees and we need derek jeter. hes a good all around player and he cant wear any other uniform then one with pinstripes. seriously imagine derek jeter on any other team then the yankees. it just isn't right

  11. St. Louis Cardinals - Yadier Molina, the catcher because he is an overall good player... he makes almost every save, hits really well, and can run just as good. He's a good team player. Same with Ryan Ludwick and Albert Pujols (hes not just a slugger)

Shane Victorino is pretty good on the Phils

  12. Ian Kinsler. Great hitter & lead off hitter, great all around guy and an inspiration to those who watch him.

  13. I have to choose 2 or we would maybe die. On the MN Twins

Joe Mauer: many many fans would kill to keep him on the team and he has an awesome average and is just great!

Justin Morneau: He's soooo good and is like really needed, also lots of fans including me!

  14. Nick is exactly right. What would we do without jeter?

  15. Just start this off I'm a Brewers fan.  I'd say Jason Kendall.  Whenever I've heard any Brewers pitcher talk after a game they've always slipped in a mention of Jason.  He's solid defensively..he's not necessarily one of the key bats in are lineup..but he's been doing a solid job as of late.  He does a great job of handling the pitchers..and really just being a solid leader in the clubhouse.

  16. Lincecum!

  17. Im a huge Carolina Panthers fan, and i would have to say Steve Smith. If we lost him then we would be nothing. He is the only offensive weapon we have. We have decent running backs but a mediocory line that won't make them look good. D.J. Hackett might be a help but he has been injured so much that he isnt reliable. Heck he is injured right now and the season has not even started. So if we lost Steve Smith we would be nothing.

  18. The Mets, and anyone on the bullpen.  It's bad enough now, it would be an absolute disaster if they lost any more arms.  Bullpen injury, no shot at the playoffs.

Though if I had to pick one specific guy, though, it would have to be Johan Santana.  Not only is he the ace, you can count on him going around 7 innings- and with the Mets bullpen the way it is, they need a starter who can throw quality innings deep into games.

  19. I'll say Mark Ellis.  Yes, his batting average hangs around .250.  But his veteran ship and just his presence always makes me feel better.  He's a competitor and an excellent fielder.  Considering the fact that the A's have a lotta youngsters, i will be delighted if they watched Mark Ellis play defensively.

  20. Justin Morneau for the Twins.  He's a .300 hitter, 30+ homers, and a 100+ RBI left handed hitter.  Without him, the Twins would be no where this season.  He's also much improved in the field.

The thing is, unless I'm missing something, he hasn't really been mentioned that much as an MVP candidate, which is insane to me.

  21. Ryan Sweeney-He's defintely done well and is a great player with a lot of heart and dedication

Kurt Suzuki-A great person, who works hard and comes to play baseball, he's a great player and is such a good catcher

Brad Ziegler-he's done so well pitching as a rookie, set a few records and done sot well

Justin Duchscherer-he has a lot of heart, nice guy, great player, dedicated, hard working, and he plays to win =]

  22. Overall Derek Jeter for a long period of time

  23. Brad Zeigler

    or

    Justin "the Duke" Duchsherer

maybe Mark Ellis, but at the same time our team already fell apart in July that doesn't mean I want them to be traded though!

  24. As a White Sox fan that's kind of a tough one to answer, but I am going to say Carlos Quentin.

He's been having a monster season when noone expected anything much from him. He plays hard and, other than the past few days, has been healthy. He always seems to get that clutch hit more often than not and his defense isn't too bad either. I don't think the Sox would have gotten off to such a hot start without him.

I also would that both AJ and John Danks are a close second. Danks has been solid all year. He doesn't give up lots of runs and pitches deep into games. If he had a little better run support then he could easily have won 15+ games by now.

AJ is just great at managing the pitchers and doing all of the little things that a team needs to win. Alot of people (fans of other teams) don't like him, but he plays hard and he seems to a good presence in the club house. Also, he didn't gripe about being moved to the number two spot in the order. A move like that could have really gone bad without AJ buying into it 100%.

  25. honestly, on the angels nobody. Thats what I like about them. They don't depend on one guy. There is no superstar. We could afford to lose Vlad or Tex or Lackey.
