Thanks for giving me an opportunity to answer this question. I marked your question as interesting. Palin is the REAL CHANGE in this election. She knows what's real life is like. Obama is a lawyer (most politicians are lawyers, look at where we are). She has handled family life and career. Obviously got married for love. Her husband is a fisherman. Some people will attack her experience. She has more executive experience than Obama. I'm so voting for McCain now.

We need someone that has thought about today's issues before the election.  Obama was asking the tough questions (on Meet the Press) about Iraq 6 months before we invaded: How long will we be there, how much will it cost, and will it be worth our reputation in the world.  Palin has stated that she hasn't given Iraq much thought.

I think Palin is a good person and might someday be a good choice in this arena but she needs some experience on the national stage first.

This question has a few mistakes,

For one, you are comparing a presidential candidate to a VP candidate. Secondly you assumed that Obama going to an Ivy necessarily means he got a better education than Palin who didn't. A good college is a college that fits a person well, for instance a law student wouldn't want to go to Princeton, as they have no law school. A college education is a college education. Three, writing a book simply means you have enough time on your hands to write a book, and enough connections to get it published, 4, you refer to Palin as a hockey mom, when in fact she is a governor, and what sport her child plays has nothing to do with her VP stance, 5, you implied that her child having down syndrome has anything to do with this election, 6, you implied her husbands education has anything to do with her stance.

None of these things have anything to do with the presidential campaign

Senator Obama is running for President against McCain.    Your apples to oranges comparison of him to VP candidate Palin isn't relevant.  

Secondly  

The real question is "Which Candidate will be best able to deliver Change ?"

The obvious answer is Obama.  

McCain has been in the senate for 26 years and has a mediocre record.   He has endorsed virtually every policy  initiatitve of the Bush Administration and stood by as each initiative has failed one by one.

McCain wants to continue the failed Bush Policies,  Obama wants to put an end to the McCain Bush failures and clean up the mess that they made.

Obama got into college on Affirmative Action and then became a glorified picnic-planner.  He didn't graduate from Harvard - he attended Harvard Law School.  Harvard Law and Harvard Business are NOT Ivies.  They are grad schools.  And he originally wasn't accepted into any Ivies.  He had to apply from Occidental to get into Columbia.  Big difference, buddy.

Palin is a smart, independent woman who during her years as governor has done wonders for the budget and educational reform of Alaska =]

In no way do I want a self-proclaimed soccer mom as my VP and I don't want a President who only needs to meet her one time to pick her as his VP. Reckless and dangerous lack of judgment.

On the other hand, a Harvard graduate who knows the law and worked for grass-roots issues to help laborers who'd lost their jobs looks like a much better agent for change. Plus, Obama has much more legislative experience than the soccer mom and thought long and hard and had many meetings with Biden before he chose him as his VP.

So let's see: Obama is smarter, better educated, knowledgeable of the law, cares about the issues of the common citizen, & makes prudent and considered judgments. Gee, I guess I'll vote for Obama over Bush Lite and the Soccer Mom. It's a no-brainer!!
