  2. The only CURRENT Austrian player in the NHL is Tomas Vanek who was born in Graz, Austria.

    Michael Grabner has not played a game yet but should very soon.

    There have been, however, other Austrian players to play in the NHL:

    Christoph Brandner

    Reinhard Divis

    Thomas Pock
