Who is the original author of Winged cats?

Okay, so I need to find out the REAL author of who wrote the article Winged cats discovered in western China. Here is the link:

The link at the bottom of that article (under the picture) goes to the Daily Mail Online, which lists "Daily Mail Reporter" as the author.  Perhaps you can contact them about it.  http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-...
