Who is the richest superhero and super villain?

My thoughts is that Batman is the richest superhero and I guess you could say that guy from Spiderman was also quite wealthy.

Dr. Doom is the richest Villain, he basically outright owns a small country.

It would really depend on what company you were looking at as to who is the most wealthy hero & villain.

DC: Batman (Bruce Wayne) would likely be the wealthiest hero as owner of Wayne Enterprises.  Lex Luthor would be the wealthiest villain as owner of Lexcorp.

Marvel: Iron Man (Tony Stark) would likely be the wealthiest hero as owner of Stark Industries.  Dr. Doom would likely be the wealthiest villain, as the ruler of Latveria.

It would be an interesting project for Wizard to compile something akin to a fortune 500 listing of comic characters, if they haven't already.  They could take characters from Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, Image, etc. to determine who would be listed as the wealthiest characters of all time.  It would be interesting to see where some other characters rank, as many comic characters own businesses (Green Arrow, Puma, Cardiac, Silver Sable, Green Goblin, Kingpin, etc.), & some others rule countries (Black Panther, Black Adam, Silver Sable (why do all these rulers besides Dr. Doom have a color in their name?), etc.).

Tony Stark?  Doctor Doom?  Don't make me laugh!  (No seriously, it makes me sound all villainy.)  I've never even heard of these "Bat Man" and "Lex Luthor" people!  (Though I might have created a bat-man as one of my New Men... hmmm...)

If only those Beyonders wouldn't have stolen it then it would still stand!  Others have been so awed at my accomplishment that they even tried to copy my masterpiece.  Could any of those other "richest" people do that?!?

It has to be Black Panther. He's the king of the richest nation in the Marvel Universe's Earth, with total control of the rarest mineral on the planet. He's been able to single-handedly crash the world economy (Enemy of The State 2, by Christopher Priest), which is a trick I think even Batman would struggle with.
