I was going to say that the smartest person in the world is the one who has learned how to be at peace with himself/herself, God, and nature;  who has learned to be content with his/her place in life while always striving to better himself and others and who has discovered the joy of helping others by using his/her special gifts and talents.

No, I'm wrong. This isn't the smartest person in the world, but the wisest, and I'd choose the latter.
